Centennial Golf Course

Several years ago I left a pretty negative review of this course, mainly due to the greens . So in all fairness I should give credit where credit is due. Played on 7/6 and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the shape of the fairways, they are excellent, yes I said it , excellent , tee boxes are a bit worn but this was after a busy holiday weekend. The greens are soft and receptive, they are also difficult, lots of break. Now for the issue , NO ONE repairs their ball marks , the greens look bad , no getting around it, but if the lazy golfers out there would take about 10 seconds to repair their marks it would make a huge difference. I was told that the greens are slated for a makeover. One other thing is the cart paths are being replaced so this may interfere with your next round. Last but not least, the staff were great , food good. Enjoy.

Not a big review guy. But this chapped my ass. Grew up on a golf course. Worked on them for 20 years. Played college golf. Have a turfgrass degree. Point of story. I have been around the business. Have a last tee time. Tee time. Starting on back 9. Get there. 3 groups on tee box. No biggie. But come on. Have 2 kids just learning. So we want to teach a little. Pro shop says be back 8:30. So we push it the last 2 holes. Walking off green at 8:36. Cart guy is yelling down to green to hurry up and load up. Tried to explain we had 3 groups making the turn so we got held up. Again. 6 minutes past. Told him it’s ok. We won’t be back. He said good.

Course is decently nice. Old man working in the clubhouse was a complete jerk. Chewed my group out for checking in 10 minutes before our tee time because that was too late for him. Cursed at me when I told him to stop being disrespectful. Wont be back !

The golf course is very challenging and very hilly. I played terrible, but that is not the golf course’s fault. This is one of the most beautiful, scenic courses in East Tennessee. We also love the golf carts, which have the GPS technology built into the screens . We had a great time. Also, thank you to Ed - Who gave us great advice off the first tee. Super nice guy.
